Rosanna Bonus
I have been a parishioner at St. John the Baptist (SJTB) for 4 years now and helped coordinate the Simbang Gabi event for the last 3 years. I was part of the 5-year Future Planning Committee at SJTB. I am currently serving in the Stewardship Committee and the Simbang Gabi Deanery Coordinator of South King County for the Archdiocese. I am proud to be one of the founding parishioners of SJTB Filipino-American Association.  Our goal is to encourage every Filipino-American parishioner to actively participate in the community where stewardship is a way of life. I am married to my wonderful and very supportive husband, Bobby Bonus and we have 3 children: Noelle (25), Kathleen (19), and Matthew (15). I am a full time Realtor and enjoy helping people live the American dream.

 Janet Hernandez
I am married to Gil Hernandez with three daughters and one son. I am a Certified Public Accountant by profession and graduated at University of the East in the Philippines. I am currently the chairman of the SJTB finance Council, treasurer of Filipino American of SJTB and chairman of Food Committee & Reception of the Fil-Am Group. My previous work in the Philippines had fulfilled a lot of my dreams as a career woman and had given me the opportunity to travel in the United States, Japan and other Asian Countries as part of my job in a Makati based company. I worked as an Accountant and Administrative Manager of Utility Trailer Sales of Washington located in Auburn and has been with the company for almost seven years. My immediate family migrated in the US in the year 2000 and we are currently residing in Covington, WA. We have been with Saint John since year 2004.

Sweeney Mae Montinola

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Washington State University – Go Cougs! I have been a parishioner at SJTB for over 3 years now and have been a part of the Filipino American Association since its first Christmas Caroling project. My experience in dance and choreography has been a great contribution to the group and most especially with our biggest project: “Who’s Your Lola?” I am co-producing this play and wrote the script to spread awareness about Filipino American Culture.  I also enjoy advertising and marketing and have held marketing related positions with companies such as Macy’s Northwest, Expedia, Inc, and Fisher Communications. Recently my good friends and I decided to open a business: Events in the City, LLC – an event planning company. I am also a fitness instructor with LA Fitness teaching Boot Camp, Cardio Jam, Latin Impact, and Hip Hop Classes.

Teresita K. Parks

People call me Tita Parks for short. I graduated from the University of the East in the Philippines with a degree of Business Administration. I am married and have been a member of SJTB since the day it started. I am now retired from Marriott Corporation. I am member of the leadership committee of the Filipino American Association and will be taking over the secretary role as our former secretary Carol Colburn has decided to retire with her husband. I am also a member of Beta Sigma Phi, an International Organization of Women where I am the treasurer of our Chapter, Alpha Eta Master. When I have free time, I enjoy Cooking, watching TV/DVD movies, and gardening when weather permits

Raymond Mendoza Palisoc

People call me Ray for short. I work as an Aircraft Assembler for Hexcel Corp. I have been a parishioner with SJTB for over two years now and have been heavily involved with the Fil-Am Association. I attended the Claret Seminary School in Quezon City, Philippines majoring in A.B. Philosophy. I always believe that helping those who are materially poor is the best way to show love for God. I like to sing and listen to music particularly OPM (Original Philippine Music) bands such as Eraserheads, Rivermaya, Parokya ni Edgar, and Yano. I would prefer to listen to ordinary people with true stories rather than intellectuals with no heart. Back in the Philippines, I was a Guidance Counselor for high school students, a Values Education and Religion Teacher, a choir leader, stage play director, and a good friend to my colleagues. I always like being on the side of the underdog. I believe that life is not a problem to be solved but a reality to be experienced.
