"Who's Your Lola?" Benefit Play results
Benefitting St. John the Baptist and Claret HOPE Fund

September 23, 2009 – Covington, WA

A week after the benefit play: “Who’s Your Lola?”, the Filipino American Association of St. John the Baptist announced that the net funds raised was $2,667. This event has so far been the biggest fund raiser event that the group has ever organized. They wanted to let all the generous contributors for this event know how the money was donated by first thanking all of those who participated and supported.

$1,000 will be donated to Claret HOPE Fund Organization in the Philippines. Father Bong, one of the executives at Claret will provide further details as to how the monies were spent. The other $1,000 will be donated to the Prayer Garden Ministry of St. John the Baptist, where in which $500 will specifically be for the Multicultural Garden project. The remaining $667 will be used to fund the upcoming Simbang Gabi project and next year’s Filipino-American Association events.

The Filipino American Association would also like to thank Eary Productions for volunteering to produce DVD copies of the play and for providing many of the technical equipment needed during the play. And for Events in the City, LLC for providing a generous discount of their event planning services.

If you would like more information about upcoming events, especially the Simbang Gabi project, please email info@faa-sjtb.org or contact Rosanna Bonus at 206-245-7054.
